The EITC and Refundable Credit office is at the 2014 Nationwide Tax Forums. We are presenting two seminars:
This seminar presents current compliance issues that you need to know before completing tax returns claiming individual refundable credits, the American Opportunity Tax Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit and the Additional Child tax credit.. Preparers will hear the latest on best practices, interview techniques, and the IRS resources to help.
We present this seminar twice, Tuesday, 3:50 to 4:40 p.m. and Wednesday, 10:10 to 11 a.m.
This seminar is about EITC due diligence requirements with an emphasis on what you can do to avoid an IRS audit, needless preparer penalties and more consequences. You will learn what is required to “know the law, ask the right questions, get all the facts, and document the answers” to get EITC due diligence right the first time.
We present this seminar twice on Thursday, 10:10 to 11 a.m.and 2:35 to 3:25 p.m.
We set aside some time for you to talk to us about the complexities of meeting EITC Due Diligence and get your ideas on improving the process. Please join us. But, you must preregister.
Email us prior to the forum at firstname.lastname@example.org letting us know you would like to join the conversation. Include your name, which forum you are attending and the day you'd like to attend. Or, we have sign up right before and after our "Let EITC Due Diligence Work for You" seminars. The discussions are Tuesday, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and Wednesday, 2 to 3 p.m. Sorry, no CPE credit for the discussions.
