Puerto Rican Birth Certificates

IRS no longer accepts Puerto Rican birth certificates issued before July 1, 2010. The Government of Puerto Rico passed a new law, Law 191 of 2009 as amended. The law requires all those with Puerto Rican birth certificates issued before July 1, 2010 get new documentation from the Puerto Rico Vital Statistics Record Office.
